Since last Tuesday, I might have repeated it countless times, but the overwhelming sense of honor and gratitude still lingers within me. Being a part of something truly grand has left an indelible mark. As we delve into this week's "An Outfit and a Glass of Wine," I am dedicating it to one of my all-time favorite opportunities.
Order today to receive before Christmas! A few wines that will definitely be at my table + some gift sets for those last minute shoppers. Go out with a bang!
Typically this time of year, I have fully made the switch to red wine. I just love a heavy glass of cab or malbec when the temperatures drop. But since moving to Phoenix, I have changed up my seasonal drinking to just match the mood of the day. And this oftentimes depends on the weather. This year, it’s warm. It’s cooler than summer, but it is still very very warm. I can’t bring myself to completely switch over.
I’m not cooking for content, I’m cooking for my family. So every recipe I post here, has been tried and approved by them. I am not a recipe writer, just sharing from my kitchen to yours. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we have.
There is really nothing more satisfying to me that homemade junk food. I grew up in the south and am the literal queen of turning childhood favorites into healthier dishes, I can’t help it. When I started my blog back in 2013, I was already creating these types of recipes for a year on my Instagram channel. I missed southern food but was also in just a healthier place in my life. I remember making one of the first ever cauliflower crust pizzas. It took forever and there was so much trial and error! I don’t have the time I had back then, so I stick pretty closely to convenience these days. But I highly recommend taking a Saturday to make this for your family. I swear its a crowd-pleaser.
My dad always made amazing pork tenderloin so I’ve been attempting a little of what I picked up from him throughout the years. This recipe is sort of like his, but using the sous vide, of course. You can always roast your pork tenderloin if you don’t have a sous vide. But I’ve been experimenting on bigger meals lately so that one day in the future, when we can have parties again, I can host family and friends!
These chops are SO good. SO easy. And even easier on the waist. Sure, it’s pork, but it’s a lean chop combined with a veggie.
The last few months I have been preparing myself for a toddler room update. Our little girl is growing up quickly, and her bedroom needs were changing.

When I was 19 years old (barely a legal adult and almost half a lifetime ago), I made the decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery. I was young, in a new relationship and there was a lot of pressure to be perfect. Oftentimes that meant changing things about your body, but it made me comfortable knowing so many other women had made the same choice. As far as I knew, the surgery was completely safe and with minimal side effects. It’s certainly a personal choice, but I am and always have been supportive of making decisions that are right for you, especially if they make you feel better about yourself (I honestly didn’t know what I had). Shortly after the surgery, I began experiencing notable but peculiar symptoms.
