After making the big move from San Francisco to Scottsdale, I would constantly get the question “what is the best spa” … this is A THING out here guys. Living in a “resort town” is the real deal and you better know the best spots! After one whirlwind of a year, I thought it was time to get my list in order. I’ve been slowly visiting local spas and reviewing them… which you know if you’re keeping up! :)
Right down the road from my house is a very relaxing place nestled within Camelback Mountain called Sanctuary Resort. It is truly an experience of a higher level of luxury and glorious renewal… and no doubt lives up to its name, Sanctuary. This beautiful Scottsdale luxury resort begs to you let go and reconnect to yourself. Something I’ve been having trouble finding lately.
Sanctuary Resort & Spa is ranked the 2015 top resort in Arizona by Travel + Leisure Magazine. It is one of my very favorite places in Arizona. The spa at Sanctuary is a complete oasis and an experience that will be hard to top.
An architectural wonder, the resort and its unique array of accommodations are beautifully embedded within the spectacular terrain of Camelback Mountain, providing panoramic views and a feeling of escape no other Scottsdale luxury hotel can provide. We invite you to reconnect with one another as you enjoy innovative dining created by Food Network celebrity and Executive Chef Beau MacMillan, escape to the Asian-inspired treatments at the world-class Sanctuary Spa, and explore the breathtaking scenery that unveils a magnificent perspective on the world and one another.
I started my morning with a deep tissue massage that was so overdue. It was extremely relaxing while also working out some of my upper body stress that I always carry around. I will never forget this massage. Next I got to experience the signature wakai renewal body treatment. “Wakai” is the Japanese word for mature and youthful. This aromatic and luxurious ritual begins with a results-oriented exfoliation, bathing the body in refreshing nutrients and minerals which saturate the skin with intense moisturizers. A rich berry infused cream is then applied to complete this 60 minute experience. My skin has never been so soft and glowing! I felt like a million bucks!
To end my day I got a 90 minute ritual skin-fit facial. Powerful natural skin-nourishing proteins restore depleted, damaged cells to a more vibrant, youthful condition. Collagen is stimulated and fine lines are plumped and filled to give a smoother appearance. The NuFACE micro current treatment tightens the facial muscles for an instant facelift. Results were dramatic after one treatment. During the treatment I also got a face and foot massage.
Between each session I enjoyed their steam room and pool amenities. It was such a delight to spend my day at the Sanctuary. I want to spend everyday at the Sanctuary!!
Sponsored by the Sanctuary but all opinions are my very own.
