Our skin is our largest and most exposed organ, so why wouldn’t we want to take extra good care of it? Over the past few years I have learned that a good skincare routine is always better than a lengthy makeup routine. If my skin is healthy and glowing, I feel much more confident and don’t want or need to wear as much makeup.
Through my love for skincare, I have found what works best for me and my skin.
I am always pretty conscious about EVERYTHING I put in/on my body, but being pregnant I now have two people to protect from harmful things in this world. Between the food we put into our bodies, the things we put on our bodies, and the things we have no control over coming in contact with our bodies all have an impact on us.
I love running my hands through strong, soft hair, unfortunately maintaining hair health can sometimes be hard to do. So many things can wreak havoc on our hair, including things that are totally out of our control such as the weather or hard water coming out of your shower head. Use these five easy tips to combat these negative forces and be on your way to healthier hair!
One of my biggest pet peeves is the feeling of chapped lips, so that’s why I pretty much always have lip balm on me. It’s definitely a must have because the feeling of dry lips can strike anytime. Especially now that it’s getting chillier out. Trust me, nothing is worse than putting lipstick on less than moisturized and conditioned lips. Luckily, I also have a secret weapon, this three ingredient lip scrub which is a total life saver. Whenever I start to feel that my lips aren’t in tip top shape, I whip up this scrub.

I love a good manicure, the only downside is routine manicures can typically dehydrate and thin
your nails over time. That’s why I always soak my nails between manicures in this super
moisturizing DIY nail soak. This is such an easy and quick beauty DIY, and everything you need
to make the soak is a typical household item. This soak is super moisturizing and strengthening
because each ingredient (only 4 total!) has major benefits.
I'm sure this is is no surprise, but I love having super soft hair. It drives me crazy when my hair starts to feel dry or break off when I brush it. The minute I see any breakage, I know it's time to pull out my fool proof DIY hair mask. I am so obsessed with this hair mask because it's made with totally natural ingredients. Obviously a store bought hair mask may seem like the easier option, but those masks are filled with chemicals to preserve the ingredients inside. So even if you find an avocado based hair mask at the store, only a small percentage of what your putting on your hair is truly avocado! It's way better to skip the middle man and just make the mask yourself. This way your locks only get the best of the best. Plus, it's so easy you guys!
This sugar scrub is seriously the best! I already love sugar scrubs because they are a gentle way to exfoliate your skin but this one is especially amazing. It’s all natural and made with beneficial ingredients! It consists of only three ingredients that you most likely already have sitting in your kitchen right now. It’s made with sugar, coconut oil and orange zest. Coconut oil is the ultimate natural moisturizer, plus it smells amazing. The orange zest adds natural fragrance, plus it’s a great source of vitamin C!
Oil pulling has become a popular and interesting trend, involving swishing a tablespoon of an oil for 20 minutes in your mouth. Oil pulling has show to combat dental issues like gingivitis, plaque, and bad breath through removing the cells skin, covered with lipids and fatty membranes. When these cells are contacted with oil, they will naturally bond together and are eliminated by spitting the oil out. Oil pulling is a great supplement to include in your dental care routine in addition to brushing and flossing.
Your skin is the body’s largest organ, so it is critical to protect and take care of your skin. Not only is skin a major component of the body, your appearance is influenced by how well you take care of your skin. Dark spots, discolored skin, and premature aging can be avoided by limiting exposure to the sun, religiously applying sunscreen, and having an effective routine that includes beneficial vitamins in your diet and skincare regimen that combats free radical and the signs of aging.
Simplicity Skincare created a product that makes a skincare routine as simple and effortless as it gets. Simplicity Skincare created a revolutionary, fragrance free, anti-aging peptide moisturizer and hyaluronic serum that’s built into one product! That’s right, just one bottle completes your skincare routine, save yourself time and money!
Jan Marini’s C-ESTA serum is a cocktail of potent Antioxidants, Vitamin C, and DMAE that fight free radicals to combat the signs of premature aging while lifting, firming, and tightening skin on the face, neck and chest. This serum is ideal for every skin type, including acne-prone and sensitive skin.
These little pastel cubes are shower melts and they are so easy to make! If you don't know what a shower melt is (I didn't), it's a little cube made with essential oils that you put on your shower floor as you are showering. As your shower warms up the melt starts to melt (obviously) and it releases the essential oils into the air of your shower. This is such a genius idea because essential oils are SO therapeutic.
