I love Game Day! I think it’s so fun to gather with friends and family and watch the game while eating all of our favorite snacks. I usually end up spending the entire day snacking, so I make it a priority to only pick up healthy snacks that won’t leave me feeling guilty. I love to stock up on fruit and veggies, guacamole, charcuterie plates, and one of my Game Day faves, Popchips!
These breakfast wraps are the best! I love them because they trick my mind into thinking I’m eating bread based wrap when in reality, the wrap is made entirely out of egg! These wraps are also super versatile. I always stuff them with my faves: tomatoes, avocado and spinach. However, you can totally be more adventurous and add ingredients such as sauted veggies, protein, cheese or anything else you want in there because pretty much EVERYTHING tastes good with eggs.
I love fruit dipped in greek yogurt! In case you missed my last fruit + greek yogurt post, I recently
dipped kiwi slices in greek yogurt and froze them. I was pretty much in heaven! It’s crazy how it
tastes like SUCH a treat, when in reality it’s simply fruit and greek yogurt! Two totally healthy
and good-for- you ingredients. I’m so obsessed.
You guys! I woke up one morning craving waffles because I had a dream I was eating waffles the night before. I recently just bought this cute little mini waffle maker too so I was SO excited to get in the kitchen and get these babies going. And then, whomp whomp.... I realized I had NOTHING to make a traditional waffle. So I had to get extremely crafty.
Side note: these can easily be made Vegan by using coconut oil in place of Ghee. You can also sub out honey for date sugar.
With Summer still in full force here in Phoenix, I am looking for any and all ways to escape the heat. Weekend getaways, spending most my time indoors, and limiting my use of hot kitchen appliances! In fact, the freezer is my new favorite kitchen appliance this summer. No heat and it can make so many healthy snacks, like this one! These yogurt dipped kiwi slices are really good AND healthy. I love that they are frozen, they are totally the perfect summer snack when you need to forget that is 115 degrees outside.
I am obsessed with overnight oats right now! They are so easy to prep the night before (literally
dump your ingredients into a Mason jar and stir LOL), and in the morning you can just grab and
go. Plus, overnight oats are so nutritious! There's so many option of what to put in your oats, but
my fave combination is chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and nut butter.
