I just love the simplicity of Laguna Beach. Not only is it a beautiful place but my very best friend lives there. She always shows me around, and takes me to all the spots with all the best food and cocktails.
I thought I'd share those with you here!
My choice hotels are the Ritz-Carlton, Dana Point and Inn at Laguna Beach. Both are cliffside and Oh, so magical!
The Ritz-Carlton is obviously going to be more corporate. They host a ton of corporate events. Which is why I've had several opportunities to visit.
The Inn at Laguna Beach is more central and you can walk to fun places along Highway 1. It doesn't have a gym, though. So prepare in advance for that.
Dining Well
Good Casual Spots
Urth Caffé - this one's pretty obvious. It can get extremely busy and the line will likely be wrapped around the block on a weekend day. But it's so nice to grab a spot on their patio and drink a latte. I also love that it's across the street from the Inn at Laguna Beach.
Coyote Grill - I never go to Laguna and miss my chance to mingle with the locals in this fine establishment. The absolute BEST and most friendliest service around. The margaritas and the crispy tacos aren't too bad either.
Beach Hut Deli - great selection of wines and beers. I go for the kid's meal. The sandwiches are LARGE and delicious.
Luciana's Ristorante - this place is a mix between fancy and casual. The prices are very casual. The food is decadent and delicious with gluten-free options. It's one of our favorites when we visit the area because.
Brunch
Nick's Laguna Beach - part casual, small little classy joint across the street from the beach. Delicious food whether you visit for brunch or dinner.
Zinc Cafe & Market - Mostly outside seating. Great for breakfast.
The Deck on Laguna Beach - Great views, cocktails and vibes. Highly recommend.
Driftwood Kitchen - on the fancy side but great ambience. DON'T forget your ID, even if you're 80, they won't serve you.
