I can't help but express my overwhelming sense of honor and gratitude repeatedly since last Tuesday. Being a part of something as magnificent as The Red Carpet with Laurent-Perrier at the 2021 Elle Women in Hollywood Event has left an indelible mark on me. This week's An Outfit and a Glass of Wine is devoted to commemorating one of my most cherished and unforgettable opportunities to date.
The past eighteen months have been quite a rollercoaster, and though it's not completely behind us, this event brought an incredible sense of joy! I must highlight that all attendees were required to be fully vaccinated and show a negative Covid test result within 48 hours before the event. This added precaution granted a feeling of safety and liberation that many of us have been yearning for.
Recently, I had the pleasure of joining a delightful Zoom happy hour hosted by Laurent-Perrier, where both women and men came together. Surprisingly, even without knowing about 95% of the attendees beforehand, I quickly felt a strong sense of community in this online gathering. During the call, I got to learn a great deal about Laurent-Perrier, and instantly, I was captivated by their values and the spirit of togetherness that permeated the entire event.
Beyond being one of my favorite champagnes to enjoy with loved ones, Laurent-Perrier stands out as a remarkable company in many ways. Even before it became trendy, they were led by women, and for over two centuries, they have mastered the craft of creating traditional champagnes. Presently, they hold the distinction of being one of the largest family and female-run houses in Champagne, which is truly impressive.
Their champagne is celebrated for its fresh and elegant taste, and they've earned well-deserved certifications for their commitment to environmental care and sustainability. It's hard to find the words to describe a company as exceptional without resorting to "perfect," but from what I know about their closely-knit team, it's evident that their passion and dedication drive them to excellence. In its 210-year journey, Laurent-Perrier Champagne has evolved from humble origins to become a world-renowned brand. Its rich heritage and innovative spirit have contributed to its esteemed status in the champagne world. Founded in 1812 in Champagne, Northern France, it has thrived through the years alongside significant historical events.

The opportunity to celebrate some of the strongest Women In Hollywood is not lost on me. Thank you to Elle for hosting such an event. Meeting the likes of Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Lauren Ridloff, Salma Hayek, Jodie Comer, Halle Berry, Gal Gadot, Rita Moreno, and Jennifer Hudson was an empowering experience that I will never ever forget.
