Hi guys, I just recently spent a couple of days in San Diego and I wanted to share some of my favorite spots with you...
So on Friday night I fell in love with La Jolla. My FAVORITE spot there was George's At The Cove. I fell in love with their rooftop and delicious cocktails but the best part was the view. Then we went to Scripps Pier for the sunset... it was breathtaking and there were a ton of surfers out. For dinner we went to a new spot in Gaslamp called Rustic Root. It was delicious but very crowded and slow service!
Saturday we surprised our good friend on a boat for his birthday. It was sooo much fun to cruise around on a yacht in perfect weather. Then we had dinner at Bracero Cocina (and it's up there with my all time favorite dinner spots) -- make sure you get the skinny margarita and a tamale. We night capped at Art Hookah Lounge with some tea and apple shisha.
Sunday we went back to Rustic Root for brunch (had we known we were going here for brunch we would have probably gone somewhere else for dinner Friday). For dinner, we shared the scallops and the lobster pappardelle, both were phenomenal. For brunch I had the lobster cobb, it was very underwhelming.
The rest of the day we spent running around town. It was VERY hot so we stopped in for yogurt at a little spot called Chillbox and grabbed iced lattes at Halcyon.
Another cool spot was the Andaz rooftop. The hotel was subpar but the rooftop is super cute. I don't recommend going on a weekend night but the breakfast/lunch scene was pretty great.
Overall it was a pretty rushed weekend and I didn't have a lot of time to check places out for you guys but these spots were definitely worth a share!
