rsvp YES, we're going to the wedding
Hi guys,
Sorry I’ve been gone for so long, I’ve just been attending weddings (including my own) and moving to … Arizona. (More about that later)
I had the pleasure of attending several weddings this year, most of them were my very close friends. It’s so wonderful being a part of such a special day for your loved ones.
I have several dresses that I’m going to add to my eBay store (after my honeymoon, I will announce when they go up). I pulled two of my favorite looks below to introduce you to because they would make lovely winter dresses and are still available online for purchase.
[ A museum wedding in conservative Michigan ]
This dress is a deep navy blue. It felt amazing and hugged all the right places. I felt so elegant (but comfortable). Shop this Haute Hippie dress here.
Being a San Fran girl, I felt REALLY dressed up. I got nervous before walking out the door and decided to dress it down a bit with a color-block shoe. These are SUPER comfortable, just the right height, and the perfect level of casual that I needed to un-glam this look a bit. Find these Derek Lam’s here (..and on sale!).
I carried my pink Ferragamo clutch since it was summer. The perfect bright and dark mix, I felt colorful and fun! Shop the clutch here.
[ A dessert wedding in October ]
I LOVED wearing this dress. I was a little shocked by how “boobie” it was when I first put it on, but then I realized it wasn’t so bad, there is just a time and a place. That time and place is not a conservative Michigan wedding, but a Brazilian Palm Desert wedding, perfect.
In my thirties, I find myself a littler curvier and need something that I can breathe in. I loved the fit of this dress, no alterations, straight out of the box and out the door. This “midi” dress is forgiving where I need to be forgiven, if ya know what I mean. It has the best knee split up the left side. I had so much fun dancing in this dress as it moved with me. Shop this dress here. The complete look, my purple Ferragamo chain clutch and suede pointy-toed shoes, Prada. Meow.
Anyone else attend a million weddings this year? I’d love to hear about your favorite outfit and whether you “re-wear” your looks!? (And what you do with these rags when you’re over them!)
