Ladies Who Blog & Brunch

I had the pleasure of meeting the mom and the chef that created Mom Noms this past week on my trip to San Francisco. She has been cooking up some delicious things and posting them on her blog since she left the chef world to be a mom. Like most of us bloggers, she needed a creative outlet and she uses the Mom Noms platform to share her 'mom and chef' expertise with the rest of the world.

We met at Rose's Cafe which is this cute little restaurant in the Marina. The menu at Rose's has something for everyone. The decor makes you feel like you're in Europe and have no place to be. I could sip my latte for hours out of that cute bowl they put it in.

My favorite meal is the salmon cozy. My husband turned me on to it while we were still living in SF. Each time I have it I dream about the next time I can have it. The salmon cozy is sort of a pita + calzone type thing that is stuffed with cucumber, watercress, radishes, red onion, and aioli. I obviously get it without the onions.. because I hate onions! On days I'm not feeling carbs, I go with their chopped salad... and let me tell you, I don't feel like I'm missing out. The lettuces are so crisp and chopped perfectly. It makes the perfect work lunch or side on a weekend brunch day.

I'm putting together a full post on San Francisco on all my favorite places. I lived there for five years and every time I visit I go back and it's even more magical than before. It's nice to be a visitor and not have to worry about the hustle bustle of getting to and from work or the making it to Soul Cycle before they give your bike away. The traffic is crazy but when you're just going to explore, you don't even notice it.

Check out Mom Noms recipes and find out how she does it all! She's also on Instagram.
