favorite snack recipes for the weekend

My sister-in-law always makes a version of these at our family barbecues. They are perfect for the grill or the oven.

bacon wrapped jalapeños

Will make 10

5 organic jalapeños

8oz garlic & herbs cream cheese

smoked paprika

seasoned salt to taste

1 package of bacon

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Slice jalapeños down the middle and hollow out as shown in the photo. Fill with cream cheese and wrap with bacon. Season each with a dash of seasoned salt & paprika. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes (all ovens vary, cook longer if the bacon hasn't crisped and browned).

spicy guacamole

Always a crowd favorite!

4 ripe avocados

juice of 1 lime

juice of 1/2 lemon

2 finely chopped jalapeños

1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper

1/2 tablespoon of cumin

1/2 tomato, diced

salt & freshly ground black pepper

Slice avocados in half, remove the seeds and scrape into a bowl. Mash avocado a bit but leave chunks, do not puree. Add all ingredients and stir. Stick in the freezer for five minutes before serving! Voila!
